A note from Noveber 26: this wine is really good! I am laughing. I should not be surprised.

We poured it at several events over the last couple of weeks, and each time I have not only be delighted and impressed, but I was surprised. From the moment that we bottled it in June until now, the wine really only seemed adequately good. It is from a great vineyard and we had high expectations. Evidently, we rushed them.

There are 36 bottles left. I am offering them at a 28% Saturnalia discount.

At the foundation of reconvening the Scholium Project, we want to make more Chardonnay. I drank a fantastic 2022 Chardonnay from the Ascona vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the Winter preceding harvest 2024, so we tried to source some of the same fruit. We succeeded. The vineyard is very high up-- at 3000 feet, right off Skyline Drive. The wine that we made is very good-- we call it "In Cima"-- At The Peak. It is clean and classical, beautiful.

We put most of the fruit into our Friulano blend, LSB+. We bottled only 84 bottles of this wine and sold about half as futures. 32 bottles remain available here.
