Quality looks insanely good this year, with potential for a truly exceptional harvest. The fruit is ripening much more slowly than last year, with a harvest date a month later than last year.
The other factor in this year's exquisite quality cuts both ways: We estimate that there is less than half of the fruit there was last year. Consequently I am offering much less oil.
We think that we will pick most of the fruit on the first day. Linda Tenbrink has promised me enough oil to offer a total of 42 2-bottle packs from Day 1 in this selection. 25 have already been sold.
I anticipate that this offering will constitute most of the oil that we make this year. On the day after the last harvest, I review how much oil we have and then offer the remaining bottles at $65 per 750 ml bottle.
We plan to pick on October 30, bottle on November 14, and begin shipping immediately.
