This is our deepest, darkest wine, and, in some ways, our most interesting. It is wine made cofermenting the grapes harvested from three different red-wine vineyards: Maglite, Lopez, and Galleano Home. We think of it as the acme of red wine from these hot sands.
To make the wine, we created a single fermenter and added fruit to it continuously as we harvested it: first Maglite Grenache, then Lopez Zin, then we added a portion of the Galleano Home red fruit, and then finally a tiny bit of Gateway Zin. The whole fermented and macerated for nearly 6 weeks.
The wine is dense and dark and will mature for decades.
