Because of the success of the futures program, and the overarching fact that we make so little of some of these wines, I am offering 6 more of these packages only.

It is so hard to give notes on 12 wines! You may look at the individual pages for the wines-- but I will also offer these brief notes.

All of the wines are much less rough than many of the Los Angeles wines that we have released in the past-- I am tempted to call the wines more sophisticated and polished. I am particularly taken with the two reserve Palominos. They are really strong and beautiful-- and really different from each other. The Chiara is more complex and will age for longer and perhaps even needs more age. The Reserve is immediately more beautiful and charming. They come from two different picks and two different fermentations.

The Heart of Sand and Lopez Reds are pretty incredible. Both are light but powerful. The Heart of Sand is like the lightest old school Burgundy, but slightly tannic from stems. The Lopez is Burgundian too, not much like any normal Zinfandel. All of the Blancs de Noirs are great: all dark in color, but very light and fresh and aromatic.
