We have made so much progress with our farming of this precious, back-yard, vineyard. In 2013, we harvested 2 tons of fruit, the most since 2002 and nearly twice 2012. And the quality— in part because of our farming, and in part because of the drought— has never been higher. Complexity, intensity, excellent acidity. The wine is ripe and powerful, but also subtle and complex; completely marked by its exposure to oxygen and the influence of surface yeast. In some ways like Ganevat; in some ways like a Manzanilla Pasada. This wine is ready to drink but will develop slowly and subtlely for 20 years.
