It is so exciting to be able to offer these beautiful, luxurious, wines from two august vineyards, high on Mt. Veeder.

The four bottles, two of each wine, are offered at a 20% discount over the purchase of individual bottles.

These beautiful wines have an interesting origin. The impending collapse of the grape market in California in 2024 is all that made them possible.

Wise producers foresaw difficulties on the horizon in the leadup to Harvest 2023. Suddenly, small amounts of high-quality fruit were going unsold. The vineyards selling the fruit did not want their names used, for fear of harming their reputations, and their existing relationships with other buyers of their fruit. So I can't tell you exactly where these wines are from-- but I can say that they are from two separate single vineyard sites, high up the mountain. One faces west, one east.

The winemaking for both wines is classical and nearly identical to techniques that I used 15 years ago and more to make beautiful wines from nearby vineyards on the west side of Spring Mountain, in Sonoma.

They are both, on purpose, ready to drink-- but like all of the Scholium wines, they will age well for years or decades…

We will begin shipping these wines on May 2 2025.
