We had such success with Lone Wolf Blanc last year that we made a special harvest for "white fruit" this year. We came in a week early and harvested only the yellow clusters of mostly Grenache and the palest pink and red clusters of Mission and Grenache,. We foot stomped and then pressed without maceration. The acidity and freshness are really good, but the wine is also structured. It is barely white, more like a pale, but structured, rosé.
From our treasured Lone Wolf vineyard, planted to Mission and Grenache and who knows what else. 100 years ago, and then abandoned about 60 years ago.
