I have told you about Lone Wolf at length. From the most remarkable section of the vineyard: the 100 or so Mission vines, completely abandoned about 70 years ago, no traces of pruning until we tackled them this Spring. The vines have been allowed to reproduce sexually as their fruit fell to the ground for generations: so there is not only Mission, but Mission crosses, and Mission x Grenache and x Zinfandel (and whatever else has been growing nearby) crosses.
Light in color, but the most intense of all of the wines from this vineyard. Appropriately fierce.
