In a 90-minute session, we will taste 9 wines and discuss them in relation to their vineyard origins. At Brenna's suggestion, and in line with the work that she is doing on the next season of Roadside Terroir, we will discuss the wines in the context not only of their geology, but of their farming.
Brenna and I both have a strong interest in the effect of mycorrhizal fungi on grapevines and wine. She and I anticipate a real discussion that will center on this topic-- in fact, what we have in mind is not a tutorial on wine and geology, but a discussion of the means of interaction of the vine and its earthen environment.
