A few wines, to be consumed together, in a spirit of inquiry; a moment in a sustained investigation, through many cities.
These events are barely lectures-- barely seminars. They all shape themselves differently. This one will be at a nice long bar in a venue just opening; in a city I do not know well.
We will engage in a kind of general anthropology of the natural wine movement, focusing on the taste for spoilage and the passion and excitement behind it. The emphasis will not be on technical aspects, or even what one might call critical, but rather: what does a Natural Wine taste like, and what is the relation between this and food spoilage in general.
We will taste about 11 wines. They will be good.
