Our rarest bottling, from about 200 vines planted in the 1960s by Chuck McDowell on his ranch in Rutherford. Predominantly Sauvignon Blanc, but also including Sauvignon Vert and Chardonnay-- a beautiful, clear, direct white wine made only from juice. The smallest bottling was 2007: about 7 cases; the biggest, the last, in 2013: about 40 cases, half of which were bottled in large format.
The vines were finally ripped out after the 2013 harvest; we have a representative of every vintage ready for me to bring to Bergen for this tasting: 2004 through the final vintage in 2013.
We will taste each wine slowly and carefully. We will offer a total of 14 seats, including several for Scandinavian press and wine professionals. You may purchase a seat here.
